HOUSTON, TX, June 24, 2005 - R7 Solutions has delivered an end-to-end business process management system to the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) for parcel research, planning, negotiation and acquisition built on top of their existing GeoRoom 3.2 installation, delivered earlier in the year. The system provides a step by step process to manage the land acquisition process both on the map and in specially-designed forms that comply with METRO standards, as well as providing an auditable record of agent contacts and negotiations.

Based on R7 Solutions' location-aware business process management system, the METRO GeoRoom installation allows real estate department managers to replace lengthy and paper-driven manual processes with a single application interface while also providng better process adherence and enforcing acquisition standards. In addition, they can monitor and manage land status and project progress in real-time from the map, watching as each agent makes progress on the cooridor being developed.

GeoRoom as implemented for METRO provides access to parcel ownership, municipal utility district and school district boundaries, floodplains, market research, and aerial photography. GeoRoom users can record notes, annotate locations, develop complex projects around locations and areas, and all information can be shared with other users with a built-in access and security management system.
