Houston, Texas – June 22, 2007 – R7 Solutions has announced that its recently developed real estate management GIS for the Port of Houston Authority, “Real Estate Lease Management System” (RELMS), was awarded an ESRI 2007 Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award.

The award was announced June 22nd at the ESRI International User Conference. The award description describes the project:

The Real Estate Lease Management System (RELMS) helps the Real Estate Dept. to collect and manage the leasing of areas within the Port of Houston Authority property. The system combines GIS display of leases with the manipulation of attribute data using a standard Microsoft Access interface.

R7 Solutions completed development of the project with the sponsorship of POHA GIS Director, Tim Misek, and under the direction of R7 Solutions Project Manager Jeff Darlington.

CEO of R7 Solutions, K. Lawrence Epperson, congratulated the development team on their accomplishment.

“We are all delighted to see the hard work and dedication of this team recognized by the industry. We know that the RELMS system helps the Port Authority do its job faster and better, but it is also great to see quality software engineering highlighted in this way,” said Epperson.
