HOUSTON, TX and VILLAHERMOSA, MEXICO, August, 2006 - R7 Solutions announced today a nationwide trial of GeoRoom 3.1 for use by PEMEX, the state oil company of Mexico, for project management and budgeting around oil and gas exploration and production projects.

Slated as the first project of its kind using GIS to monitor the complete nation-wide productivity of a state oil company in real time, GeoRoom will be delivered on a hosted basis over the web to both frontline project managers and corporate executives. 

For this project, GeoRoom has been loaded with well and exploration locations for both the on shore Northern and Southern PEMEX operational regions, as well as the offshore Gulf of Mexico operational region. Also, integrated workflow forms have been provided to track budget allocations, budget usage, and real-time reporting from the field upwards to corporate management.

As a part of the project, R7 Solutions delivered a Spanish-language version of the GeoRoom user interface, which was reviewed and edited by PEMEX petroleum engineering staff.

The project will run through 2007 and will allow PEMEX to fully integrate the workflow and usability into their budgeting and project management process for further development of business process management functions.
