R7 Solutions Executive to Teach Class at Rice University

HOUSTON, TX, August 15, 2001 – R7 Solutions announced today that the company’s CEO has been invited to create an undergraduate entrepreneurship course for Leadership Rice, a selective leadership program helping to identify and foster leadership at Rice University in Houston, Texas.

Course Will Introduce Entrepreneurial Leadership to Students
The course will be created by R7 Solutions CEO, Kraettli L. Epperson and underwritten by a grant from the Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurship of Kansas City, one of the world’s leading institutions for entrepreneurial research and education.

“These guys are smart, clear thinkers who are knowledgeable about start-up issues. They are grounded, articulate, and they keep in touch with the Rice culture and its students,” said Dr. Susan Lieberman, Director of Leadership Rice, in her winning grant application to the Kauffman Foundation.

The program will consist of a combination of classroom lectures, visiting entrepreneurial speakers, small group seminars, discussions, business writing, and field trips to start-up businesses. Teams of students will complete a business plan and investor presentation during the course of the program. Each student will also complete a three month internship with a start-up business prior to starting the class.
